Summary
A black-painted steel and white leather stool, possibly Bauhaus, late 1920s/early 1930s, the tubular frame of cantilever form, the top section fitted with a white leather covered cushion forming the stool seat. The legs are chromed steel which were later sprayed black. This stool, another (NT 864360) and two chairs (NT 864353; 864359) were purchased by Patrick Gwynne for the Victorian villa which was the previous family home on the site where The Homewood now stands.
Provenance
The Homewood and some of its contents were given to the National Trust by Patrick Gwynne in 1999.
