Summary
A fitted mahogany and black leathercloth table, British, designed by Patrick Gwynne, circa 1960s, the rectangular top formed of two desk tops joined back to back together, the top lined with black leathercloth (replaced circa 2002), the desk with four frieze drawers on the left hand side and a single drawer and fall-front drawer on the right hand side, one short side affixed to the wall, the other end supported on two black-painted steel tubular legs joined by a floor stretcher.
Provenance
The Homewood and some of its contents were given to the National Trust by Patrick Gwynne in 1999.
