Summary
A 'floating' cream vinyl and black-painted iron two-seat sofa, British, designed by Patrick Gwynne, circa 1960s, with four cream vinyl covered pine and foam tubular cushions (replicas of originals NT 864569.1-.4) attached to a black-painted iron frame, the frame affixed to the wall to give the illusion of floating. This sofa design by Patrick Gwynne is similar to the chairs and stool from the Kingston Range (NT 864331; 864333.1 & .2; 864332), designed by William Plunkett, that are also at The Homewood.
Provenance
The Homewood and some of its contents were given to the National Trust by Patrick Gwynne in 1999.
