Summary
Cloak. Black corded silk knee-length cloak with jet bead decoration across yoke and collar, machine-made lace frill added to lower edge of beads, lined with black ribbed silk and black silk damask with wreaths of pink rosebuds. Finished with wide black ribbon, centre front. Worn by Mrs Marshall c.1873.
Provenance
Part of the Bristol Collection. Acquired by the National Trust in 1956 under the auspices of the National Land Fund, later the National Heritage Memorial Fund.
