Summary
Skirt of Worth dress. Heavy cream satin skirt. Embroidered with long sprays of diamante, metal thread and spangles, gored and trained skirt with insertions of cream self patterned silk. Skirt lined with cream silk. Worn by Lady Bristol c.1870, 75060 written on label on reverse of Worth label.
Provenance
Part of the Bristol Collection. Acquired by the National Trust in 1956 under the auspices of the National Land Fund, later the National Heritage Memorial Fund.
