Summary
Curtain, one of a pair. Original, c.1829, Banting France and Co. West Window, left. Chintz cotton fabric with pink and green floral pattern on pale ground, to match the bed, and the original material reproduced for the bedroom. Lined with plain, glazed cotton. Edges bound with a later, green, ribbon possibly of manmade fibre, machine stitched.
Provenance
Part of the Bristol Collection. Acquired by the National Trust in 1956 under the auspices of the National Land Fund, later the National Heritage Memorial Fund.
