Lord John Hervey, 2nd Baron Hervey of Ickworth, PC, MP (1696-1743), William Pulteney, 1st Earl of Bath (1684-1764) and Sir Robert Walpole, 1st Earl of Orford, KG, MP (1676-1745). The duel between Pulteney and Lord Hervey (25 January 1731) shown in a courtyard with Walpole peering around an arch saying, "Let them cut one another's throats".

Part of the Bristol Collection. Acquired by the National Trust in 1956 under the auspices of the National Land Fund, later the National Heritage Memorial Fund.
