Summary
Printing block. Metal die on wooden block. A shield with an eagle top left, top right and centre bottom, each one with wings open, slightly at top left, more so at top right and fully open at bottom. Between the birds in a chevron are three shells, one at the apex and one on each side.
Provenance
Part of the Bristol Collection. Acquired by the National Trust in 1956 under the auspices of the National Land Fund, later the National Heritage Memorial Fund.
