Pyrene chrome cased fire extinguisher mounted on black metal stand. On top inscribed - 0852. For use on electrical fires.
Marks and inscriptions
(On body) 'To operate turn handle to left; work like a pump. Pyrene trade mark. Fire extinguisher made in England. Instructions - Direct stream at base of flames NOT to the centre of the fire. For fires in tanks or pans direct liquid to far side of receptacle. ABOVE the surface of the burning fluid and never directly into it. Pyrene liquid is a non-conductor of Electricity and can be used safely on Elecrtrical fires. WARNING! The fumes given off are liable to be dangerous especially in confined spaces. Do not inhale. Ventilate directly afterwards. After use lock handle, unscrew filler cap, fill up with PYRENE fire extinguisher liquid ONLY. Extinguisher must not be washed out. Complies with the FIRE OFFICERS COMMITTEE'S SPECIFICATION for a one quart size fire extinguisher for use on Public Service Vehicles; also APPROVED by that committee for special industrial fire risks.
