Summary
A pair of ash refectory tables and benches, English, circa 1820 The tables with massive plank tops held on three molded shaped solid supports and shaped plinths to each. The four ash benches with thick rectangular plank seats raised on three shaped solid supports with iron strap stretchers. This furniture from the Servants Hall was most likely constructed in situ due to the enormous size of the plank tops of the tables and have probably remained in the same room since. It is also likely that the ash was cut from trees on the estate.
