A rosewood writing table, probably by Banting France & Co. London circa 1830 The rectangular leather inset top above a single end frieze drawer and raised on paneled end supports and plinths, tied by a turned stretcher and on bun feet. The drawer missing its fittings.
Provenance
Part of the Bristol Collection. Acquired by the National Trust in 1956 under the auspices of the National Land Fund, later the National Heritage Memorial Fund.
