Summary
One of a set of four ebonised beech and cane dining chairs, English, circa 1810 Including two armchairs and two single chairs, the back with a rope twist carved top rail and double bowed stretcher below, caned seat and sabre legs, the armchairs with scrolled moulded arms.
Provenance
Part of the Bristol Collection. Acquired by the National Trust in 1956 under the auspices of the National Land Fund, later the National Heritage Memorial Fund.
