Summary
A rosewood and upholstered sofa, by Banting ,France & Co. London, circa 1830. Shaped back rail and scrolled arms with leaf carving to the terminals above a padded seat and moulded rail raised on lappet carved turned legs and brass castors. With a loose seat cushion and two bolster cushions. Upholstered in green and white silk damask. Edged with green silk gimp and cord.

Part of the Bristol Collection. Acquired by the National Trust in 1956 under the auspices of the National Land Fund, later the National Heritage Memorial Fund
