Summary
Diploma. 'Commemmorative Diploma of the British Arts and Crafts Exhibition at the Pavillion de Marsan, Palais de Louvre, Paris 1914. Issued by the Board of Trade'. Within a decorative border showing a variety of crafts. Drawn by Isidore Spielman and engraved by Emery Walker. Handwritten note at bottom 'Diploma awarded for inlaid secretaire cabinet by William Morris, lent by Marquis of Bristol. Owing to the war the cabinet was kept in Paris until 1919 when it was returned to Ickworth'.
