Summary
A Dog of Fo, guardian lion defender of Buddhist temple. Guandong, China, 2nd quarter of C19. Female dog with right front paw on brown cub. Scaly mane and tail, bulging eyes, large white and red flower and stem held in mouth and draped along front of body and along raised leg.
