Summary
A Dog of Fo, guardian lion defender of Buddhist temple. Guandong, China, 2nd quarter of C19. Female dog with front left paw on brown cub, scaly mane and tail, large white and red flower with snake-twined stem held in mouth and draped along front side and down raised leg. Decorated in green, brown and yellow, glazed.
