Summary

Bag; Saddlebag - Turkoman saddlebag. Very tight wool pile saddle bag with a flat weave hand woven back in natural coloured wool. Very coarse un-spun prickly wool binding at the edges.(Camel?) Platted tassles at each opening, each side of the bags is stuffed with a cushion and the tassles are knotted over the opening to seal in the cushions.

Provenance

Accepted by HM Treasury in lieu of Inheritance Tax and allocated to the National Trust, Bradley Manor, 2002.
