Summary
A cardboard container with a green and red paper wrapper. 'The Orient selected Caraway Seeds 1oz 28grm', 'One of Pearce Duffs products / Pearce Duff and Co Ltd, Spa Road, London SE16 England / Foreign produce'. Metal tin 'No 1 1/2 S / R&S Ltd C'. Marked on base '6d'. Pearce Duffs were originally a custard gelatin manufacturer, later expanding to produce custard and blancmange powders and other culinary foodstuffs. Their factory was originally in Rouel Road from 1847 until 1960 when a fire at the factory prompted a move to Spa Road - this factory closed in 1976.
