Summary
Autograph letter by John Singer Sargent, RA (Florence 1856 - London 1925), to 'My dear Osgood', explaining that he cannot meet because he must complete a project, asking whether he would be in New York during the coming winter, and giving his address there, signed 'John S. Sargent' and inscribed 'Ightham Mote / Sunday', three pages, 8vo, mourning stationery, written on a folded sheet, with remnants of prior mounting along right edge of fourth page, short closed tear repaired with tissue at upper left of third page, horizontal fold, second page written vertically.
