Summary
A carved wooden capital, gessoed and painted, depicting one of the Disciples washing the feet of Christ, who is seated and raises his hand in blessing; on one side panel a female saint holding a cloth, on the other panel scrolling foliage. Back plain, with large scooped out recess towards top. The sculpture is a modern imitation of Romanesque models, and may have been made in Southern Italy or in Spain.
