Summary
A wrought-iron Crucifix made c. 1958 and attributed to Ramón Martí Cebollero (1915-2001). A vertical section supported by a foot made from four incurving pieces of iron; attached to this a gilded Cross with four projecting rays of light, in the centre the crucified Christ figure, a cold cast resin copy of a 15th-century original. One of the rays is broken off. Ramón Martí Cebollero (1915-2001) was a Catalan painter mainly of landscapes. He appears the most likely candidate to have made this and another identical Cross (NT 825373) in the Old Chapel, although he does not appear to be recorded as having worked as a sculptor.
