Summary
One of a set of three beech and elm smoker's bow Windsor armchairs, Thames Valley, circa 1900. One stamped J. ELLIOT & SON and initials ES, each with horseshoe-shaped armbow raised on a spindle gallery, the solid elm seat on turned legs joined by twin cross-stretchers.
Full description
J. Elliot & Son opened their chair factory in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire in 1887 and continued in business until the 1930s.
