Summary
Sheraton satinwood tea caddy with ebonised stringing, the front and lid inlaid with shell on green stained ground. The interior converted to a stationery box. Given by Sir Thomas and Lady Colyer-Fergusson to Mr. and Mrs. Powell Edwards as a wedding present. Returned to Ightham Mote by Mrs. M.E. Powell Edwards. Eph. Containing visiting card from Sir Thomas and Lady Colyer-Fergusson, Ightham Mote, Nr. Sevenoaks inscribed, 'With best wishes and congratulations from -' on reverse 'answered'. (M.E. Powell Edwards.)
