Summary
Yellow silk bridesmaid's dress, hand painted in coloured pigments with tulips. Round neck, sleeves with scalloped flounce, fitted bodice with dropped waist, gathered skirt and scalloped hem. Self fabric piping and edging. Back opening with hooks and eyes. All in different colours, this was one of 12 bridesmaid's dresses based on Botticelli's Primaverea, the brides dress was a more elaborate version in white. Designed by Elaina Abbey of Regent Street well known for her theatrical costume.
