Summary
A set of nine curtain border fragment and two panels. Crimson/scarlet silk warps, and gold silk and linen wefts. Warp faced satin ground with weft faced twill motifs. Neo-classical design: Single stem flowers and leaves tied, between ribbon zig-zag and tied leaf borders.
Provenance
Darby Collection. Thought to have been used at Sunnyside, and last used by Muriel Cope-Darby (1882-1935). Some of the fragments have been used at Dale House,Coalbrookdale.
