Summary
Metal hydraulic cast iron ram originally from Mill Pool, by Blake's: domed shape with lifting ring on top, painted grey. Plus a box of related valves and bits. Geoffrey Wolrych-Whitmore had several rams on the estate. At Dudmaston in the Big Pool there were two rams in tandem (MSC destroyed one in 1987). There was a ram house on Seggy Pool, but the ram itself is probably no longer there. This one was restored by Michael Crompton. He also removed a Freeman Roe (of the Strand, London) ram to the national ram collection at Heligan.
