Summary

Treadle sewing machine: cast iron body painted black and gilt decoration. Mounted on pine base and work table with drop leaf, 3 frieze drawers and cast iron base with treadle mechanism. Accompanied by original handbook. Has cover with carrying handle.

Provenance

Hamilton-Russell collection. Belonged to Maud Harriet Hamilton-Russell, Lady Labouchere's aunt from Burwarton.
