Victoria Sackville-West, Lady Sackville (1862–1936) thence, by inheritance, to her daughter, Vita Sackville-West (1892–1962), Sissinghurst, and then to her younger son, Nigel Nicolson (1917–2004); accepted by HM Government in lieu of inheritance tax and transferred to the National Trust in 2007
