Summary
Mounted photograph showing a memorial tablet dedicated to Edward Hussey III and his wife Henrietta Sarah Hussey. The tablet reads, 'In memory of Edward Hussey of Scotney Castle son of Edward Hussey and of Anne his wife daughter and co-heiress of William Jemmett of Ashford born 13 July 1807 died 3 Sepr 1984, he built the new house of Scotney Castle in this parish. Also of Henrietta Sarah his wife eldest daughter of the Hon Robert Henry Clive of Oakly Park Salop and of Harriet Baroness Windsor daughter and co-heiress of other Hickman 5th Earl of Plymouth born 28 March 1820 married 24 Nov. 1853 died 31 Jan. 1899. Both the above died at Scotney and lie buried in this churchyard. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith'.
Provenance
Part of the Hussey collection. The contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 2006 by Mrs. Elizabeth Hussey.
