Summary
A rosewood and crossbanded writing table or Bonheur du jour, English, circa 1820-1830. With a fold-out writing surface and surmounted by open shelves with scroll supports, the frieze fitted with a drawer and standing on turned tapering legs headed with diamond inlay and terminating in brass castors.
Provenance
Part of the Hussey collection. The contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 2006 by Mrs. Elizabeth Hussey.
