Summary
A simulated rosewood open armchair, probably Indian, circa 1820-1830. Based on a Regency design, unusually with no splat in the back, the toprail and arm terminals applied with ivory roundels, the arms raised on in-curved front supports, the gros-point needlework seat raised on sabre legs.
Provenance
Part of the Hussey collection. The contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 2006 by Mrs. Elizabeth Hussey.
