Summary
Pine English striking longcase clock by Winstanley (Ormskirk), ca 1825, painted to imitate mahogany. Thirty hour clock faking an eight-day clock. Square white painted dial with flowers in the spandrels, Roman numerals and Arabic quarters. Seconds dial, semi-circular calendar aperture, false winding holes, black painted hands. The painted mahogany case is wide with scroll pediment hood having brass capped columns. Fluted edges to trunk, canted edges to plinth.
