Summary
North wall of Mrs Bunce's Room (panels, dado rail and skirting board). The walls of this room are panelled. The panelling is late 17th century in style, but was probably added to the room in the late 19th century and may have come from elsewhere in the house. On this wall there are mix of wide and narrow panels above and below the dado rail (included in this record). The fielded panels have simple mouldings. The top of the skirting board looks to be original to the panelling, but the flat bottom section appears to be an addition (included in this record). At the west end of the north wall there is a door and architrave (CMS 774063 & 64), with a single panel above. Parts of the historic bell pull system remain in situ (CMS 774055) on the corners of adjacent walls. The wires are not visible on this wall/panels.
