Summary
A 'buhl' work casket used to house an autograph book. 19th century 'buhl' work casket, rectangular form the sides slightly bowed in profile, the top hinged and fitted with a lock. The top and sides completely covered with a veneer of engraved ivory, pewter, tortoiseshell, brass and mother of pearl. The interior lined with crimson velvet.
