Summary
Electric portable valve radio. Lord Jersey's radio, mains-driven. Takes the form of a box with a carrying handle at the top. An electric wire comes out of the back. Two of the screws securing the back are missing. The box is covered with a striped cloth. At the front there is a square speaker next to a small square window with a needle gauge, saying, 'SUPERHETERODYNE', below which are two bakelite knobs.
Marks and inscriptions
Two hand-written labels on the back say, 'OPEN OUT LINE CORD TO FULL EXTENT - THIS RUNS WARM .DO NOT CUT' and, 'FOR AC or DC OPERATION 223 250 - DISCONNECT MAINS BEFORE ADJUSTING - 200 220.'
