Summary

Extending ladder fire escape. Wood, painted red with black trim. Wheel rims and other fittings of iron. Metal plate on the side marked 'Merryweather, London' steel cables. The appliance has an extending ladder in 3 sections, operated by a winch with steel cables. It is sprung and moves on 2 large wheels with wooden spokes and iron rims.
