Summary
A Japanese 'Tachi' sword, the blade with a narrow straight 'hamon', 15th-16th Century, possibly mihara or naminoaira School, rather worn, the hilt not removed, in black lacquer saya decorated with clouds in aogai, and inlaid with cut brass mon. Shakudo dragon menuki, all other mounts of iron carved with dragons and clouds, slight gold inlay, jakushi style, 19th Century.
