Summary

Cast iron fire grate, decorated in Anglo-Japanese style. It is a flat-fronted design, with horizontal bars across the lower part. There is a decorative panel at the top with a design in low relief consisting of diagonal bands of abstract ornament and of twigs with cherry blossom. It is asymetrical. Originally from current 'Archive Room'.
