Summary
One of a pair of lanterns of ormolu and glass supported by dolphins at the top of a clear glass bowl. On modern bases of gilt wood. These were designed as hanging lamps presumably altered when being converted to electricity. Designed by Adam. The metalwork is attributed to Matthew Boulton.
