A copy of an early 20th Century oil portrait of Hazel Jenner Martyn, Lady Lavery (1880-1935), by her husband, Sir John Lavery (1856-1941). Inscribed in black ink at base ‘To Maud from John. Hazel. Christmas 1935’ in a gilt frame, glazed with a canvas site edge.

Gifted to Maud Russell from Sir John Lavery at Christmas 1935. By descent to Martin Russell. Donated to the National Trust in November 2018 by Laura Beresford, Julian Russell and Emily Russell.
