Summary
Pair of glass bell pushes for the Whistler Room, Mottisfont Abbey. Back-engraved and gilded design in a floral pattern. Designed by Sir Laurence Whistler (1912-2000) and made by Pugh Brothers, London, 1953. Ensuite with the fingerplates, NT 769406. The pushes connect to Mottisfont Abbey's historic communications system (CMS770031).
Provenance
Commissioned for the Whistler Room, Mottisfont Abbey by Maud Russell, 1953. Transferred to the National Trust with Mottisfont Abbey Estate under Maud Russell's Memorandum of Understanding, 1957.
