Summary
One of a set of four painted chairs c. 1930 in the style of the Omega Workshop. The simple rectangular frames having shaped arms and back legs, the sides and backs filled with canework. The frames painted in pale lilac, the rectangular cresting rail decorated with 4 yellow circles shaped with red set on a blue speckled ground bordered with grey and a black scalloped edge. The backs of the cresting rail decorated with a green panel framed with black scroll, the centre having a V.W monogram in cream on a grey ground framed with a blue circle, relieved with white dots.
