Summary
Dinner service containing a pair of lidded vegetable dishes with loop handles (768105.1), two dinner plates (768105.2) and three dessert plates (768105.3) from the VANESSA service designed by Vanessa Bell for Clarice Cliff, who marketed it in her "Bizarre" range. Made by Wilkinsons Ltd. 1934 The white ground decorated with a free style floral motif in blue line on 3 blue circles. The border hatched and interspersed with 3 blue circles. The dishes decorated with border pattern only. Fully marked with facsimile signature of V. Bell and C. Cliff and "Copyright reserved - First Edition 1934" Exhibited at Art and Industry Exhibition (193?) Royal Academy.
