Summary
External encaustic geometric tile floor comprising simple bordered square set with central devices featuring flowers and Harriet, Duchess of Sutherland's monogram, laid on a diagonal and is completed with a lozenge and bead boarder. The dominant colour way is the natural earth and terracotta hues, which are illuminated with white detailing. The rich 'Mintons' blue can be found inlaid in the patera insets and lozenge borders. The diagonal is accentuated with four delicately detailed encaustic fish which meet a central inset that depicts an equally detailed render of a crab.
