Summary
The engine is a trailer-mounted internal combustion engine driven pump, specifically built for fire fighting by Merryweather of Hatfield and dates from around the 1920s/early 1930s. The original colour is still visible in some areas. The trailer is a purpose-built unit. There is a frame at the rear that has the number plate [791 LBH] on which hinges down to form a stand. The wheels are constructed from a standard hub with a pressed plate and riveted construction on top of which is pressed an iron tyre with a vulcanized rubber solid tyre. There are 5 fire hoses, 2 hose distribution manifold and a brass and iron take up filter nozzle.
