Sculpture, plaster casting by D. Brucciani at the Galleria delle Belle Arti of Nike Adjusting Her Sandal, from the south side of the parapet of the Temple of Athena Nike at the Acropolis in Athens, Greece. c.410 B.C.E. now in the Acropolis Museum, Athens. Classical relief of winged woman with thin, clinging drapery in deep folds. Head missing. She sits on a wall, her right thigh up on it, her left leg dangling. Hanging plaster plaque stamped in top right hand corner - 'D. BRUCCIANI GALLERIA DELLE BELLE ARTI, 40 RUSSELL ST LONDON' within oval
