Dragon jar, porcelain, body of inverted pear form with tall neck, underglaze painted with a four-claw dragon chasing a flaming pearl amid cloud scrolls that repeat around the the neck above a lappet band encircling the shoulder, celadon-tinged glaze; Korea, Joseon Dynasty, 19th Century. Mounted as a lamp and fitted for electricity in the 1940s or 50s. Mended. Attached to circular wooden base. Shade owned by hotel,
