Two outer sheets of newspaper from two different publications, both front and back pages, used to line the third shelf of a cupboard. The Worksop Guardian; The front and back page from the 'Worksop Guardian, AND NORTH NOTTS., DERBY, AND SOUTH YORKS, ADVERTISER.' dated 'FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 1. 1940'. The front has a series of advertisements and articles including; 'What everyone needs to-day- The Food Beverage with Restorative Properties..'. 'Did The Dog Attack The Fowl? Worksop Poultry Keeper Fined For Beating Puppy Corporation Prosecution For Stealing Money From Meter...'. 'RED CROSS AGRICULTURE FUND Splendid Start by Worksop and District Collecting Centre...'. 'TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OUR HUGE TAX FREE STOCKS..'. The back page has a section cut from the top right corner, left corner if seen from the back. The back has become discoloured with use leaving an oval mark on the top half when the paper is folded, half on the very back sheet and half on the back of page two where the section is missing from the back page. The Times; The front and back page from 'THE TIMES' dated 'WEDNESDAY APRIL 4 1973'. The front page has a series of articles including; 'Miners rebuff left wing with three to two vote against strike action...'. 'Senator demands the resignation of President's White House chief of staff Republicans turn on Mr Nixon over Watergate affair..'. 'Postal blast starts a hunt for terrorists..'. 'Custodian of Gaullist orthodoxy dropped from French Cabinet..'. In the top right corner 'Children: Those who can' have them, those who won't, p 12' above which is handwritten in pencil by the newsagent 'Mr Straw'. On the back page is the 'The Times crossword Puzzle No 13,347'.
