Summary

One of a series of newspaper cuttings - miscellaneous items of interest to the family. Newspaper cutting from THE RETFORD, GAINSBOROUGH, AND WORKSOP TIMES, FRIDAY, MARCH 8, 1916 pages 7 and 8 Article on page 8, RETFORD PUBLICAN CONVICTED. PROSECUTION UNDER THE DEFENCE OF THE REALM ACT At the Retford Borough Police Court on Monday, before the Mayor (Coun. S. Curtis), in the chair, and Ald. J. Thornton, Albert Edward Reed, licensee of the Butchers' Arms, Carolgate, was summoned under the Defence of the Realm Act for selling drink during prohibited hours. ................................
