Summary
One of a series of newspaper cuttings - miscellaneous items of interest to the family. A newspaper cutting from THE TIMES 17 AUGUST 1939 Headed: PIGS MARKETING BOARD NOTICE to REGISTERED PIG PRODUCERS and REGISTERED CURERS LONG CONTRACTS UNDER BACON INDUSTRY ACTS, 1938 and 1939 1. The Pigs Marketing Board has determined a Long Contract to be used for sales to registered Curers of pigs to be delivered in the Second Contract Period from 1st December, 1939, to 30th November 1940. 2. Copies may be obtained by registered Producers and registered Curers free of charge at the Board's offices at Thames House, Millbank, London, S.W1. and 124 St. Vincent Street, Glasgow C.2. 3. The Board invites registered Producers to declare to the Board the quantities of pigs of either or both of the descriptions (namely, Class 1, (Wiltshire) and Class lll (Midland) described in the form of contract which they are prepared to sell to registered Curers for delivery during the Second Contract Period under Long Contracts. 4. ...................................
